Obituary: Robert J. Lynch, 51, Executive Chef

Robert J. Lynch, 51, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Beverly Hospital following a sudden illness. He was the loving husband of Irene A. (Leydon) Lynch, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.
Born in Saugus on July 1, 1964, he was the son of the late Robert and Rosemarie (Colella) Lynch. He was raised and educated in Danvers, and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1982. He went on to earn an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Essex Aggie.

A lifelong Danvers resident, Rob was employed with Sylvan Street Grille as an executive chef and restaurants throughout the North Shore.
For more than 30 years, Rob enjoyed coaching both American and National Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, and Danvers Girls Softball. He was a fun-loving guy with countless friends. Above all Rob was a family man dedicated to his wife and four children. He lived his life with love and laughter and took GREAT PRIDE in his children’s accomplishments.

Rob’s greatest gift was his ability to make and maintain friendships with everyone he touched. He forged lifetime connections with his family, his friends and his co-workers, regardless of age. He was unique in that he counted his children’s classmates among his own dearest friends.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Jillian, Jessica, Danny, and Shannon Lynch, two sisters, Maureen Bernard and Kelly Pszenny, and his father-in-law Charles Murphy, all of Danvers. He also leaves his sisters-in-law, Jeanne-Marie and Diane Leydon, and Denise Leydon Harvey, his brothers-in-law, Frank, Daniel, and Andrew Leydon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Jeanne Leydon Murphy, and his father-in-law, John Leydon.
