Osram Sylvania Making 'Smart Light Bulbs' for Comcast

Danvers-based Orsam Sylvania will be manufacturing what they call "LED Smart light bulbs" for Comcast to sell to their subscribers. 

The bulb, which is energy efficient, will be able to turned on and off remotely using smartphones and other similar devices. 

"Home automation is a growing trend that takes complex ideas and turns them into simple solutions that can be delivered to thousands of people. This is another example of how we are continuing to evolve our Xfinity Home product," Mitch Bowling, Comcast SVP and GM of new businesses
