Santa Clarita Diet
A Netflix original that is both gross and cute. Drew Barrymore plays one half of a California realtor couple: A wife and mother who becomes a zombie. Timothy Olyphant plays her husband, who's still alive, and trying to keep up.
New Netflix releases for kids
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Based on the classic children's books in which four children discover a magical world through a wardrobe door. Netflix considers this appropriate for children 5 and older.
Finding Dory
The follow up to "Finding Nemo" gives a glimpse into the life of Dory – the forgetful blue fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres – and her past. Considered appropriate for children 2 and older.
Babe
That'll do, pig. A must-watch for any animal lover, "Babe" follows a pig that wants to be a sheepdog. Also, did you know Rex the Male Sheepdog is voiced by Hugo Weaving, of "Lord of the Rings" fame? Considered appropriate for children 5 and older.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
This Tim Burton-written staple is considered appropriate for children 5 and older, but as with all movies, parents may want to use their own discretion. The dark animated movie is about the king of Halloween and his journey to discover Christmas.
