SAUGUS, MA —A plan to transform a Route 1 dining hotspot into a drive-in theater becomes a reality Thursday, when the Kowloon on Route 1 in Saugus opens its CarHop and Drive-In.
There will be no movie this week, but also no charge for a concert by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Platters. The concert begins at 6 p.m.
On Tuesday, June 30, Kowloon will begin its film series with a screening of E.T. at 7 p.m. Tables and spaces for both events are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also call the restaurant to reserve a parking spot at no cost or bring personal chairs.
