Push Is On To Fund Proposed Danvers Pop-Up Park
The town said with 18 days of fundraising left before its deadline it has raised 44 percent of the money needed for the downtown site.
DANVERS, MA — The push is on to raise the additional funds needed for a proposed pop-up park in downtown Danvers.
The town is hoping to transform what it calls an "underutilized space" on Maple Street into the pop-up park where people can "read a book, have a cup of coffee with a friend, meet their kids after school, or enjoy a summer dinner outside."
The town issued an update on Thursday that it is 44 percent of the way to its goal of $8,000 so it can qualify for a $16,000 matching grant from Mass Development.
