Requesting Photos of Danvers Veterans

To include in Virtual Veterans Day Ceremony

(courtesy photo)

The Town of Danvers Veterans Services Dept. and the Danvers Veterans Council are planning a virtual ceremony to recognize this year’s Veterans Day. To make Veterans Day extra special, they want to include photos of veterans (living or deceased) who have had ties or a connection to Danvers. For instance, the veteran may have been born in Danvers, raised in Danvers, a current or past resident of Danvers, lots of family residing in Danvers, etc.).

If you or your family member is a veteran and would like to have a photo included in the ceremony, please go to the Town of Danvers Veterans Services website at https://www.danversma.gov/departments/veterans-services/ to fill out the Veterans Photo Request Application. Instructions are included on the application. Deadline to submit the photos is October 31st and they may be submitted via email or US mail.

Through the courtesy of Danvers Community Access Television, the ceremony will be broadcast on local Danvers television (Channel 99 on Comcast and Channel 36 on Verizon) and their Facebook page on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11th, at 11 am.
