Route 128 Bridge Construction Resumes In Danvers, Peabody
The work on the Waters River bridge replacement will resume Sunday with temporary lane closures possible.
DANVERS, MA — Daytime and overnight construction on the $24.7 million Waters River bridge replacement project in Danvers and Peabody will resume on Sunday.
The next phase will include the placement of noise barrier panels on the southside of Route 128 and then median work on Route 128 to construct a portion of the new bridge, excavate and remove existing material and construct the new road box.
Overnight construction will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and should take about six weeks.

Daytime construction will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Overnight work will require temporary lane closures both northbound and southbound between Route 114 in Peabody and Endicott Street in Danvers .

Some noise disruption to area residents and businesses is possible.
Drivers should expect delays and should reduce speeds.
