Say Farewell To The Original Smith School In Danvers

The district will host a "final tour" on June 21 ahead of the new school's opening in September.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents with a connection to the Smith School will get one last chance to walk the halls of the original building.

The district is inviting the public — including alumni, families, current and past staff, and neighbors — to take a final tour of the building on June 21 at 1 p.m.

This is the final day of school and the final time the building will be open to the public ahead of the opening of the new Smith School in September.

The original school was built in 1973.
