Storm Sends Danvers Public Schools To Remote Learning On Tuesday

While school buildings will be closed, it will be no day "off" for district students.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers Public Schools will conduct a remote learning day on Tuesday because of the winter storm forecast to continue through Tuesday morning.

Danvers Public Schools said on Monday that all school buildings will be closed for the day and that principals would follow up regarding level-based schedules.

There will be no lunch delivery.

Danvers Schools had an early dismissal day on Monday because of the impending storm.

Monday's storm brought the mix of rain, snow and wind right along the coast and much high snow totals just a few miles inland.

Danvers called a winter parking ban starting at 4 p.m. and going until further notice. The ban prohibits all on-street parking until "winter operations related to the storm are completed."

Trash and recycling pickup will not be conducted on Tuesday and will be delayed one day through the end of the week.
