Thousands Step Up In 5K For Former Danvers Teacher

ANDOVER, MA – Nearly 4,000 walkers and runners participated in Sunday's Step Up for Colleen 5K. In her opening remarks, Colleen's sister Laura Ritzer said the fund honoring former Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer has given out over $85,000 in scholarships to 30 students.

"Whether you knew Colleen as a friend, teacher, family, or whether you never had the pleasure of meeting Colleen, we’re all her for a reason today," said Laura Ritzer. "And that reason is to honor Colleen and her passion for life."
