Woman Charged With Passing Fake Bills and 3 Shoplifting Arrests

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Oct. 26-28.

Saturday, Oct. 26

  • 12:02 a.m. Report of a two-car accident with injuries on Route 114.
  • 12:58 a.m. Report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle on Holten Street. Police issued a court summons.
  • 9:29 a.m. Report of a drunken female with a child at the YMCA on Pickering Street.
  • 11:50 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries on Route 114.
  • 1 p.m. Report of a larceny at the Shell gas station.
  • 2:41 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Elliott and Liberty streets. Police said one person was complaining of neck pain.
  • 8:44 p.m. Report of a sewer backup at Sylvan Street Grille.

Sunday, Oct. 27

  • 12:49 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 128 North. State police handled the scene.
  • 11:38 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries near the Old Navy entrance to the Liberty Tree Mall. Police issued a court summons.
  • 12:41 p.m. Report of malicious damage to the parking lot at the Liberty Tree Mall.
  • 12:54 p.m. Report of credit card fraud at the Olive Garden.
  • 3:44 p.m. Angela Walker, 37, of Dorchester, was arrested, following a report of a person passing fake money at the mall. She was charged with possession of counterfeit notes and uttering a counterfeit note.
  • 6:43 p.m. Report of an animal hit by a car on Holten Street. Police said there was a cat in the roadway.
  • 7:15 p.m. Report of a theft of a black mountain bike at Goodies Ice Cream.

Monday, Oct. 28

  • 9:18 a.m. Report of a larceny at the Danvers Plaza at the interchange of routes 1 and 62.
  • 1:53 p.m. Report of a scam by a resident at Endicott Green.
  • 3:17 p.m. Matthew Pendola, 25, of 29 Vista Dr., Danvers, and Kristen Hosman, 30, of 45 Roundy St., Beverly, were both arrested, following a report of shoplifters at Kohl's. They were each charged with one count of shoplifting by asportation.
  • 5:08 p.m. Edwin Mahoney, 49, of Revere, was arrested, following a report of two shoplifters at Walmart. Mahoney was charged with shoplifting by asportation.
  • 8:13 p.m. Edmund Leblanc, 58, of 29 Mohawk St., Danvers, was arrested at his home on a temporary warrant.
  • 9:24 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run accident involving an intoxicated person at TGI Friday's.
