NSTAR Plans to Replace Natural Gas Main in Dedham

For the next two weeks, NSTAR Gas Co. will begin replacing the natural gas main in Dedham.

Work will take place on the following streets:

• High St (Maple St to Under Route 1 Bridge)

• Washington St (High St to Harris St)

• Harris St (Washington St to 200 feet southeasterly)

"During this project, it will be necessary to interrupt your gas service. We will have servicemen on site to  relight your appliances if you are home," NSTAR wrote in a statement. "If we are unable to gain access to your home during the day, we  will leave a notice stating that your gas is off, and a toll free number to call and arrange for a relight of your  appliances at your convenience.  Notice will be provided prior to any interruptions."

NSTAR is planning on repairing areas of private property which are "disturbed."

Work will begin each day at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, and will be completed by 3:30 p.m.
