Call to Artist for Art in Bloom

Friends of the Dedham Library are planning the first Art in Bloom at the Dedham Library's Endicott Branch.

The Friends of the Dedham Library is putting out a call to all artists - professional, amateur and students - to participate in the first Art in Bloom to be held at the Dedham Public Library's Endicott Branch from April 11 through April 13th. The theme of the 2018 Art in Bloom is "Havana" which coincides with the Dedham Reads book of the same name.

Havana invokes thoughts of sunny beaches, music, old cars, colorful buildings, boats in the harbor, Caribbean flavors, and bright flowers. Art work submitted must be original in design and created by the person entering. The deadline to enter is April 5th. Artwork can be in the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture or Mixed Media.

Since this is a fundraiser for the Friends, a non profit group that has been serving the library since 1981, there is an entry fee of $25 for professional and amateur artists for the entry of two works. Student artists may enter at no cost. Applications are available at the libraries and the Dedham Square Artist Guild.
