Dedham Declares A Snow Emergency

The snow emergency is set from 11 a.m. on Wednesday to 11 p.m. on Thursday.

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham is getting ready for the first major snow storm of the season and declared a snow emergency on Wednesday.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Dedham and surrounding areas. The town is expected to get six to 11 inches of snow tonight.

The snow emergency is set from 11 a.m. on Wednesday to 11 p.m. on Thursday. All residents with driveways are expected to use them and remove their cars from the streets.

Except where otherwise posted, residents without driveways will park on the even side of the street during the even-numbered months, and on the odd side of the street during the odd- numbered months. That means that this month, residents should park on the even-numbered side of the street.

No parking on sidewalks.

No on-street nighttime parking will be allowed on the following streets:

  • East Street (High St to Rte. 128)
  • Common Street
  • East Dedham Square
  • Milton Street
  • Court Street
  • Oakdale Square
  • Needham Street
  • Sanderson Avenue
  • High Street
  • Dedham Square
  • Bussey Street
  • Ames Street
  • Sprague Street
  • Washington Street (Dedham to Westwood line)
