Dedham Police Log: Vehicle Break-in, Malicious Damage and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, July 1
(2:58 p.m.) According to the police report, there was malicious damage done to a fence.  Dedham Police believed that a car backed into the fence causing the damage, and they saw little pieces of plastic that looked like it came off from a tail light. A report was filed.

Tuesday, July 2
(6:54 a.m.) A car was broken into at the Stop & Shop parking lot, according to reports.  The passenger side window was smashed, but the owner did not have anything valuable in the car.  A report was filed.

(3:18 p.m.) A woman told police that her purse was stolen at H&M.  According to reports, she placed her purse down by a display rack, but when she tried to pick it up- it was gone.  A report was filed.

Wednesday, July 3
(10:42 a.m.)  There reports of a shoplifter at the CVS on Bussey Street.  According to reports, an employee observed the suspect put $34.06 worth of items in her purse without paying for them.  She tried to exit the store but she was stopped and then trespassed.  A criminal complaint will be taken out against her.
