Dedham Police Awarded Grant to Aid Traffic Safety

The state-issued grant will help reduce high crash rates and pedestrian accidents.

Dedham, MA -- The state’s Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Safety Highway Division awarded the Dedham Police Department a $3,000 grant to support pedestrian and bicycle safety enforcement.

This funding will allow the department to dedicate officers to the Elm Street and Providence Highway area for traffic enforcement to help reduce the high crash rates and pedestrian accidents, officials said.

The grant is for Federal Fiscal Year 2016.
