Dedham School Committee Looking To Fill Vacancy
The open position is unexpired three-year term that ends at the 2021 Annual Town Election.
DEDHAM, MA — The Dedham School Committee announced a vacancy for an unexpired three-year term that ends at the 2021 Annual Town Election.
Residents can apply for the position between Aug. 7 and Aug. 17 by filing with the Select Board. Applicants should give the Select Board their name and address as well as a resume and a statement on why they are qualified for the position. The vacancy will be filled at a joint meeting of the Select Board and School Committee.
The School Committee works alongside the superintendent to decide on a variety of issued pertaining to Dedham's public schools, including the budget and teacher and staff contracts. The committee meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m.

The School Committee vacancy comes after incumbents Joshua Donati and Melissa Pearrow succeed in defending their seats against Beth Flanagan-Gleason in Dedham's election.
