Dedham Sets Make-Up Date For MLK Day Celebration

Icy roads postponed the celebration on the actual holiday, but Dedham will still celebrate towards the end of Black History Month.

DEDHAM, MA — After icy roads and freezing temperatures on Martin Luther King Jr. Day cancelled the town's celebration at the middle school, the Dedham Human Rights Commission said it was working on setting a make-up date.

That make-up day has been scheduled for Feb.26 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Dedham Middle School.

The celebration includes student performances and speeches, as well as a keynote address from Rahsaan Hall, the director of the Racial Justice Program for the American Civil Liberties Union.
