A makeup date was not scheduled, as the the school, commission, and several other parties will have to find a date that works for everyone.

DEDHAM, MA — Icy roads and freezing temperatures postponed Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at Dedham Middle School. But the Dedham Human Rights Commission is working to find a day to make up the celebration.

Superintendent Michael Welch told the Dedham Transcript a makeup date for the celebration has not been scheduled, as the the school, commission and several other parties will have to work together to find a date that works for everyone.

The town’s Human Rights Commission in Facebook statement said, “We’ve been notified that nearby parking lots and sidewalks remain ice-covered and haven’t responded to DPW’s efforts to salt them. We will let everyone know when a new date is chosen.”
