Dog Left In Car On A Hot Day, 3-Car Crash: Dedham Police Log

September 17
2:19 p.m. - The animal control officer was sent to Lowe's on Providence Highway to check on a dog in a car. The outside temperature was 80 degrees and an infrared thermometer indicated that it was 91 inside the car. The owner of the car returned a few minutes later and was told of the dangers of leaving a dog inside a car on a hot day.
