Freezing Rain Advisory for Dedham Until Midnight Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for Dedham until midnight tonight.

The previous Winter Weather Advisory has been cancelled.

Residents should expect freezing drizzle to continue Tuesday afternoon and evening with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. NWS officials say to be prepared for slippery roads and to use caution while driving. The advisory may be extended to the overnight hours.

The freezing rain is going to make for dangerous travel conditions. Untreated roads will become slick and slippery with only a trace of ice, especially on bridges, overpasses and other elevated platforms.

Downed tree limbs and/or power lines may also be possible.
