"I love this race it's really one of my favorites,” said Fiona Murphy of Walpole. “I can’t count how many times I’ve done it. It seems a little more crowded this year. Maybe it’s the weather today or what happened in Boston and the running community coming together and showing solidarity.”
“It’s a great race and a great crowd,” said Brendon Hamerhand of Providence. “I’m just proud to be a part of the first race after the Boston Marathon tragedy. I’m so proud and happy to see everybody out here coming to the race and having a great time.”

Dave Minier, a Wyoming, Michigan resident, came a long way from home to run for the Ann Arbor team. He said he’s done over 25 races this year and he said the Ramble was one of the best so far.
“It’s a top notch race, I really enjoyed it,” Minier said. “I love the course, it was set up well and the volunteers have been very friendly. I’d put it at the top of the list. I really liked having the massage and stretch afterwards. I really feel great. They did a wonderful job.”
“I couldn’t believe it, especially after everything that happened at the marathon,” said Elizabeth Warner. “I wasn’t sure how the turnout would be, but just look at everyone here.”
