Keystone Parking Lot Will Remain Closed Until Further Notice

Due to the high temperatures from the heat wave, the Keystone Parking Lot will remain closed until further notice to allow the top course of asphalt installed yesterday the required time to cure.

The workers are "continuously monitoring the asphalt's temperature and will reopen the lot once it reaches a temperature conducive to vehicular traffic," the contractor said. 

The top course of asphalt that was installed on Thursday and because of the heat it is still very fragile, according to the contractor.

"Letting vehicles on this surface now could cause significant damage to the asphalt," the contractor said. 

The Town is urging visitors traveling to the Square to use the Downtown Crossing Parking Lot located in the Lower Square and the Town Hall Parking Lot in the meantime.
