Oakdale Square On Alert for Man in Red Suit, White Beard

Oakdale Square Alliance Hosting 10th Annual "LIGHT THE NIGHT" Holiday Fest & Tree Lighting, Dec. 7th in Historic Oakdale Square 4– 6pm

DEDHAM, MA - Dedham residents are being assured that the man in a red suit sporting a white beard - reported to be in the Oakdale Square area this Saturday - is none other than Santa Claus. Santa will be the main attraction at Oakdale Square Alliance's tenth annual Light the Night! Holiday Celebration this Saturday, December 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The free, family-friendly holiday event kicks off at 4:00pm inside the charming 143-year old Church of the Good Shepherd at 62 Cedar Street. The event features a ceremonial lighting of the holiday tree on the Oakdale Square Common, caroling, festive music, children’s gingerbread decorating activity, complimentary hot chocolate, cider & coffee, and baked treats.
The Light the Night event is made possible by the generosity of lead sponsor Dedham Savings, and contributing sponsors Blue Bunny Books & Mocha Java. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation to the Dedham Food Pantry.

Founded in 2010, the Oakdale Square Alliance was formed to promote, enhance, strengthen and improve the economic vitality, visual appearance and character, cultural and historic resources, accessibility, and overall quality of life in Oakdale Square.
