Beginning Monday, June 7th, the Dedham-Westwood Water District (DWWD) will be installing a new water main at the intersection of Ames Street, Pine Street, and Bridge Street, and will extend the water main into Pine Street. DWWD crews will perform the following work:

- Excavate the area on Monday (June 7) to access the underground valves
- Perform required underground connections, backfill, and compact the area on Tuesday (June 8)
- Finish any remaining work on Wednesday (June 9).
- Sign-up for alerts from the Dedham-Westwood Water District through the “Dropcounter Customer Portal” mobile app on their website at www.dwwd.org/dropcounter-app.
MassDOT crews will begin paving Bridge Street on Wednesday, June 9th and will start by installing the base course, south of Riverview Street. Crews will then proceed south toward the intersection of Pine Street and Bridge Street.
- The base course will be installed first, followed by a second layer of asphalt.
- This work is anticipated to follow the schedule below:
- Wednesday, June 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday, June 10th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, June 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, June 14th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
During each phase of work, Dedham Police Officers will be onsite to help direct traffic and manage flow through the area. Bridge Street may be reduced to one-lane of traffic, delays are expected in and around this area.

MassDOT will provide updates to the Town as available and will be shared online via the Town website and social media. Subscribe to receive email notifications about this work on our website: www.dedham-ma.gov/subscribe, and select “Road Construction Updates”.
After the paving is complete, curbing and sidewalks will be installed. The installation of curbing and sidewalks will create less disturbance to the area, and normal traffic patterns should resume. Upon completion of the paving work, DPW crews will sweep the streets surrounding the project.
