Town Of Dedham: Construction Updates May 4 2021

Eversource Gas:

• Lincoln Street; continue to work on services and have about 1 week left.
• Adams Street:  Continue installing gas services.   Prepare to install valve in East Street
• Elmwood Ave:  No work at this time.  Permit being Reviewed.  Work will begin in late June
• Court Street:  construction to begin the end of June.
• Eastern Ave:  Construction to begin end of Summer.  This work will be coordinated with our Complete Streets Project.
• Marsh Richards and Worthington:  Sidewalk repairs will begin this week

Sprague Street Sidewalk Construction: 

• Limits of work are from Cedar St to Greenlodge St and Cedar St to Dresser Ave
• We will be excavating and installing concrete sidewalks from Cedar St to Dresser Ave.
• Resident flyers will be dropped off for your notifications of concrete pours

Annual Roads Program

• We are working with the contractor for a schedule for Fresno, Greensboro, Preston, Lamoine, Lower East Street, River Street, and Stoughton Rd. 
• If a resident would like a tree planted in their front yard then please contact Jflanagan@dedham-ma.gov and we will meet and discuss the proper species for the location

Rustcraft Rd

• Eversource Electric has installed the majority of the conduit.  
• They will be onsite working on installing manholes and handholes
• Expect traffic delays

Bridge and Ames Street Reconstruction

• Utility Companies will continue to transfer their wires
• Monday and Tuesday June 7 and 8.  DWWD will install a new water main in the intersection of Bridge and Pine Street.  This is for the new water main being installed on Pine Street.  This work will take two days.
• Complete full depth construction on Bridge Street on Tuesday 
• Paving is scheduled to begin Wednesday June 9 and continue thru Wednesday June 16th.  The paving Work will begin near Riverview Street and proceed towards Ames Street stopping in the intersection. 
• Traffic will be delayed and will be one way controlled by police details. 
• Work hours will be 8AM - 8PM

 Eastern Ave from Whiting Ave to Rte 1

• The installation of the water main continues and the contractor is continuing towards Rte 1.
• The Rte 1 crossing will be Sunday Night June 6th Monday June 7th and Wednesday June 8th.
• There will also be a crew installing services and gate valves this week
• If possible the Dedham Police will try to maintain two way traffic thru one lane.  
• Expect Delays 

Pine Street

• Work is continuing on the water main installation
• Traffic will be allowed traveling from Needham towards Bridge Street as long as traffic can pass safely.
• Monday and Tuesday the work will be in the intersection of Bridge and Pine Street installing new water valves for this project.  The reason for this is to do this work now before the paving of Bridge Street
• Expect Delays

Schiller Rd

• The Dedham Westwood Water District has one - two weeks left on Schiller Rd and then will move to Ridge Ave.
