Dedham Police Investigate Stabbing, Robbery At Holiday Inn

An 18-year-old from Rhode Island was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham police are investigating a stabbing and armed robbery at the Holiday Inn Boston-Dedham Hotel & Conference Center.

Just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a call from a hotel room at the Holiday Inn. The caller reported a man had entered their room and threatened to shoot people inside, according to police. There were three men and three women inside the room when the man showed a semi-automatic gun and robbed the group, according to police.

The man left the scene after the robbery and police are still trying to find him. The man was described to police as a black man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build and was wearing a gray mask, black sneakers, a black sweatshirt and black pants.

Once police got to the hotel, they found the victims of the robbery standing around one of the hotel elevators. Police said an 18-year-old girl from Providence, R.I. was suffering from a stab wound. The teen was taken to a Boston hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation — anyone with information is advised to call Dedham police.
