Here are the three options they are asking us to choose from:
- 13,000 sq ft at a projected total cost of $10m
- 15,000 sq ft at a projected total cost of $11.5m
- 18,000 sq ft at a total cost of $13m.
More information on each option is in the presentation and in the recording of the public meeting, but this image below provides a summary of what each option gives the Community Center. Each space is multi-functional. Also provided is the square footage, budget and estimated tax impact per household, for each option.
The Committee has recommended Option #3, because:
Listened: Meets the desired activities of Dover as learned through public outreach and staff interviews
Flexibility: Allows for more than one Activity in the same space at the same time due to divisible large spaces
Multi-generational: Supports for the greatest range of Recreational, Social Activities & Public Meetings
BUT they want your input before making the final decision.
For more information here is the recording of the Public Forum.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jUYEwFP1cw

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey, your input is very much appreciated! Please complete the survey by Noon on Sunday December 6th.
