Dover Native Places 3rd At 'New England Sings'
A 12-year-old Dover boy placed third in the Oct. 10 youth competition in Maine.

DOVER, MA – A 12-year-old Dover boy placed third at the second annual edition of "New England Sings," held Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine. The youth competition, which consisted of 12 singers between the ages of 12 and 18, raises money for area charities while showcasing up-and-coming talent in New England.
Nick Mangiaratti, of Dover, placed third at the competition. Andover native Jenna Holiday, 16, and Ella Burroughs, 14, of Hampstead, NH, came in first and second place, respectively.
Former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi, Ogunquit Playhouse artistic director Brad Kenney and Berklee songwriting chair Bonnie Hayes served as judges.

"New England Sings" was presented by Inspired Nation, a non-profit that promotes young talent and builds awareness and fundraises for local youth-oriented charities. The event was sponsored by Congress Wealth Management, iHeartRadio, Stage Neck Inn and Walkers.
All proceeds support The Jimmy Fund, Zebra Crossings, First Parish Outreach, Ogunquit Playhouse and the York County Community Fund.
