Dover Sherborn Drama Presents Anne of Green Gables

From Dover Sherborn Drama: The Dover Sherborn Summer Drama program proudly celebrates its 10th season of quality performances! The summer drama program was a result of the passion of a tight knit group of middle school students, who wanted to have a summer drama program that brought together actors from both the middle school and high school. For the past 10 years, Mr. Scott Walker has been director of students from 6th to 11th grade. There is a lot of experience behind this years production of Anne of Green Gables. Director Scott Walker holds this musical close to his heart. He performed the role of Gilbert at the tender age of 13 and again at 17 at the Leddy Center in Epping NH! Abby Shannon, this years Assistant Director, played the role of Josie Pye at the Middle School production 10 1/2 years ago. Mr. Michael Jones was the musical director that same year, and we have been fortunate to have him as music director for 7 out of the 10 years! A popular program, students return year after year for as many seasons as possible. “It wouldn’t be summer without the drama program!” as one cast member puts it. “Mr Walker is an inspiration, and he picks shows that are so much fun!” said another.

Previous summer productions include: Murder at the House of Horrors, Into the Woods, Southern Fried Murder and The Addams Family. Anne of Green Gables will be performed at the Sherborn Community Center August 24, 25,and 26th. Ticket sales to be announced .
