Dover Student Honored for Community Service

Lauren DaSilva won the title of "Miss Cotillion 2013" for her work in raising funds for the Boston Pearl Foundation.

Lauren DaSilva will soon participate in the statewide Debutante Cotillion after she won the honor of "Miss Cotillion 2013" for raising the most funds for the Boston Pearl Foundation, according to Hometown Weekly. 

The 16-year-old also received the Miss Pearls of Service Award for community service at local organizations including the Danforth Museum, Crispus Attucks Children’s Center and the Dover Church.

The 6-month cotillion program will bring its students workshops on cultural awareness, social graces and financial literacy.
