Fill-the-Fleet Event for Medfield Animal Shelter This Saturday
Canine Company to collect donations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brothers Marketplace in Medfield
Pet lovers can help a local animal rescue organization this weekend by supporting Canine Company’s “Fill our Fleet” event for the Medfield Animal Shelter at Brothers Marketplace, located at 446 Main Street, in Medfield.
The Medfield Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter that rescues and rehomes more than 500 cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and other household pets each year. The not-for-profit organization is volunteer-led and relies on donations from the community to continue its work of saving pets.
“Our wonderful volunteers are dedicated to caring for animals and don’t have a lot of time to devote to fundraising,” said Jacqueline Walters, of Medfield Animal Shelter. “We have a lot of pets in house right now and really need these supplies. We so appreciate that Canine Company is handling the collection for us. It will make a big difference in the coming months.”

On the shelter’s wish list for this collection are scoopable cat litter, good quality canned dog food, dog leashes, bleach, cat beds and office supplies. Items can be purchased at Brothers, or brought to the collection from home or another retail outlet. The team manning the van will hand out the full list of supplies needed to shoppers. Every donor will receive a goody bag from Canine Company as a thank you for supporting the shelter.
“Our mission is keeping pets healthy, safe and happy,” says Ashley Donegan, Middlesex-Norfolk County representative for Canine Company. “And through our philanthropic Canine Love™ campaign, we help many organizations like the Medfield Animal Shelter in their important work of uniting pets with forever families.”
