FY19 State Budget includes funding for Dover

State Representative Denise C. Garlick (D-Needham) is pleased to announce that the Town of Dover will receive $30,000

State Representative Denise C. Garlick (D-Needham) is pleased to announce that the Town of Dover will receive $30,000 in the FY19 State Budget for Emergency Operations Management.

A $30,000 state investment will assist the town of Dover to assess its water issues and concerns and further develop action plans for the community. About two thirds of Dover residents use private wells and about one third uses water supplied by private water companies from Dover wells. “Dover residents rely on private wells and it is vital that the town have the access to information and data that will contribute to decisions regarding water sustainability,” said State Representative Denise C. Garlick.

The Massachusetts Legislature voted on the final version of the state budget on July 18, 2018. The Governor has 10 days to review the budget and take action to either approve or veto the budget. The Governor may approve or veto the entire budget, veto or reduce specific line items, veto outside sections or submit changes as an amendment to the budget for further consideration by the Legislature.
