Have You Seen a Lyme Nymph?

Be on the town committee or just learn about the disease.

According to the town website, Lyme disease-spreading nymphs are out in force now through July because, "people acquire Lyme disease from infected nymphs which are about the size of a poppy seed. They often go unnoticed until fully engorged. See tick life cycle on doverlyme.com. Now is the time to use tick spray on clothing and skin. Always verify what sprays are recommended for safe use on cloths or skin and application to children."

Want to help spread the word about Lyme or its prevention? Join the Dover BOH-LDC, which is looking to add a new member to its organization. Candidates must be Dover residents able to attend meetings twice monthly and willing to lend a hand with the work of the committee. If interested, contact the Board of Health at 508-785-0032, ext. 232 or boh@doverma.org.
