'More Easy Walks in Massachusetts' Book On the Trail in Westborough

The Westborough Public Library is welcoming the "More Easy Walks" author, and her new book. Many of these walks are in Dover.

As a follow-up to the first installment of “Easy Walks,” which features walks in Bellingham, Blackstone, Franklin, Hopedale, Medway, Milford, Millis, Uxbridge, Wrentham and Woonsocket, RI, author Marjorie Turner Hollman released “More Easy Walks,” which features walks in Ashland, Dover, Easton, Foxboro, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medfield, Natick, Norfolk, Sharon, Walpole and Westborough.

To celebrate the release of the new book, the Westborough Public Library welcomes Hollman on Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m. as part of the summer reading program.

As described in the release, this book is “all about finding places nearby to spend time in the outdoors. Each chapter offers directions to a trailhead, notes distance and trail conditions, suggests points of interest and indicates where dogs (and their owners) are welcome. There are trails along the Charles, Blackstone, Neponset and Sudbury Rivers, short climbs to nice views, walks alongside rushing streams, or around quiet ponds. Several rail trails, completed or in process are included. These are all great locations, close by, to head to when you want to get outside either for some solitude, or with your family.”

Copies of her book will be available for purchase. The program is free.
