The Week Ahead: Running for a Cure, Scouting and Schooling, and More!

A handful of weekend events for Needham, Dover and Sherborn.

1. The National weather service prediction for today says sunny today and clear tonight. High is 63ºF and low is 39ºF, in terms of temperatures. 

2. Girls who are interested in scouting can stop by the Sherborn Public Library on Wednesday to sign up. Starting at 6 p.m., they are hosting a girl scouting sign up event. There is a $25 membership fee for the 2013-14 school year. 

3. Elm Bank in Wellesley is hosting their Harvest Moon Flower Show this week. 10 a.m. on Thursday, and running to 3 p.m., a handful of local gardening clubs are presenting flowers from around the area in a free program in the Hunnewell building. 

4. Joe Moakley field in Boston is hosting the Susan G Komen Mass. 21st Annual Race for the Cure. It starts at 8 a.m. on Sunday, and is a walk/run fundraiser supporting local breast health programs and funds promising research on the national level. 

5. More than 60 different private schools are coming toNeedham's Sheraton Hotel this weekend for the Private School Innovator forum. They are welcoming Dr. David Shim, a clinical psychologist and Boston University professor, and will be answering all the questions visitors may have about a private school education.
