5 Things To Know For This Weekend
Here are some things you might want to know for June 7-9.

1. The Easton Youth Baseball League Mark Peterson Memorial Golf Tournament is this Sunday at the Easton Country Club. In addition to the tournament, there are other contests and raffles going on as well. Cost for a single adult is $100. Check the link for more information.
2. Today is National Donut Day. You can get a free donut with the purchase of a beverage at participating Dunkin' Donuts. Also, make sure you tell us what your favorite donut flavor is.
3. On Sunday at 10 a.m. there will be Olde Tyme Field Day at the Ames Free Library. There will be a variety of outdoor activities taking place, including relay races, hula hoops and facepainting. Tickets to get in are $5 per person.

4. The Department of Conservation and Recreation recently presented Easton with a Tree City Award. Easton was one of 76 Massachusetts communities to receive this distinction. Tree Cityr Awards are given to municipalities that meet four criteria: they must establish a department devoted to tree care, spend at least $2 per capita per year on urban forestry, enforce laws protecting public trees, and host an Arbor Day celebration.
