6 Residents Displaced Following Fire On Eastwood Lane In Easton
Fire officials said the home is a "total loss" due to fire and smoke damage.
EASTON, MA — Six residents have been displaced following a two-alarm fire at a single-family home on Eastwood Lane Saturday afternoon, said the Easton Fire Department in a news release.
Firefighters responded to a report of small outside fire at approximately 1 p.m. Upon arrival, they found that the fire had extended into the attic of the home and engulfed the roof in flames.
After a second alarm was struck, mutual aid and station coverage was provided by Sharon, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, Brockton, Mansfield, Norton and Raynham Fire Departments and the fire was extinguished by 1:30 p.m.

“Almost all of our surrounding communities came in to support us during this incident and were put to work conserving as much property as they could for the homeowner,” said Chief Kevin Partridge in a statement. “We thank all of our mutual aid partners for their immediate responses.”
Fire officials said the house is a "total loss" due to fire and smoke damage, but no one was injured and some personal belongings were salvaged. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
