As Brockton Casino Vote Nears, Easton Watches
Brockton residents will have their say on a proposed casino and hotel development on May 12.

As Brockton prepares to vote on a referendum on a proposed casino in May, surrounding towns like Easton are watching what the result will be.
Easton town administrator David Colton told the Boston Globe that there will be a discussion about impacts if Brockton voters give their approval to the proposal.
This would not be the first time the town has dealt with a potential gambling project in a neighboring town. In 2013, the town negotiated a surrounding community agreement with Raynham Park before the facility lost the slots license to Plainridge Park in Plainville.
