Comcast Outages in Massachusetts

A Comcast outage affected thousands of customers across the country—including in Massachusetts—Monday morning.

At about 10 a.m, when more than 17,000 outages were reported, according to downdetector.com.

The outage affected cable and internet service.

Comcast issued the following statement Monday afternoon:

An update is currently underway and what you’re trying to access isn’t available right now. We’ll have everything back up and running in just a few hours, so please try back later. Thanks for your understanding as we work to make this the best customer experience possible.

By Monday at 2 p.m., service was restored to all of Massachusetts, though hundreds of outages were reported in other parts of the country.
