Easton Announces 3 Finalists For High School Principal Position
The district will be conducting site visits for each candidate in the next week.
EASTON, MA — Easton Public Schools announced Tuesday that three finalists have been chosen for the Oliver Ames High School principal position, which will become available at the end of the school year following the retirement of Principal Wes Paul.
A total of 31 people applied for the position and 10 candidates received virtual interviews. Five were then chosen for in-person interviews and three have now been selected following both rounds of interviews.
“We are committed to finding the best possible candidate to serve our Oliver Ames staff, students and families,” said Assistant Superintendent Christine Pruitt in a statement. “Each of these finalists is well-qualified for the position with administrative experience in various school settings, as well as unique backgrounds in education that would serve our high school and district well.”

The three finalists are North Attleboro High School Assistant Principal Russ Booth, Canton High School Assistant Principal Kelly Cavanaugh and Medfield High School Assistant Principal Jeff Sperling.
Over the next week, site visits will be conducted for each finalist in their current districts. They will then each spend a day at Oliver Ames High School to meet staff, students, and families. Booth will be at the school on Friday, March 19, Cavanaugh on Monday, March 22, and Sperling on Tuesday, March 23.

Parents will also be able to ask the candidates questions via Google Meet and are asked to email their questions to Pruitt by Wednesday, March 17.
