EASTON, MA — The Easton Fire Department celebrated the retirement of Chief Kevin Partridge with a community parade and ceremony Wednesday.

Many fire chiefs from the area, local firefighters and police officers, state and local officials, Easton's Community Emergency Response Team, and community members attended the event to celebrate Partridge's 36-year career in fire service.

“Easton’s been a wonderful place to work and I’ve been honored to have led this great department,” said Partridge during a speech at the event. “Every department is different, but the common denominator is the people who go out there and do the job.”

Partridge retired from the Easton Fire Department in October 2020 and remained with the department on an interim basis, which ended Wednesday. He previously served with the Swansea Fire Department, Berkley Fire & Rescue, and Avon Fire Department.

“With becoming a chief over 20 years ago I’ve had the honor of working with many different fire chiefs and that is one of the things I’ll cherish,” said Partridge. “I thank you and appreciate everything we’ve done together. It’s been an honor to serve as a fire chief with all of you.”
