Easton Police Discontinue Birthday Cruiser Parades
Easton police said they've enjoyed parades during the coronavirus crisis, but with regular duties increasing they cannont book future dates.
EASTON, MA — After 10 weeks of greeting children and families in the town with a birthday parade of lights and sirens amid the isolation of the coronavirus health emergency, Easton police said they can no longer book parades because of the volume of requests and increasing regular duties with the reopening of businesses.
"We'd like to thank all of the families that included us in the countless birthday celebrations that took place throughout our community over the past several months," Easton police said. "We feel very fortunate to have helped so many families that were forced to adjust to the 'new normal' and alter how a child's birthday party could be planned and carried out."
