Easton Schools In Top 75 In Greater Boston: Rankings

EASTON, MA — Easton students return to school this week — and they can take comfort in knowing their school district is one of the best in the state. Boston Magazine ranked Easton No. 56 in its survey of Greater Boston public school districts. The rankings, released Sunday, were based on test scores, student-teacher ratios, class sizes, and graduation rates, among other factors.

Boston Magazine reported these statistics for Easton:

• Enrollment: 3,750
• Average class size: 20
• Student-teacher ratio: 14.6 to 1
• Graduation rate: 96.8 percent
• Per-pupil spending: $12,731

Boston Magazine: Best Public School Districts in Boston 2017

The Dover-Sherborn school district was ranked No. 1. This is the top 10:

2. Concord-Carlisle
3. Weston
4. Lexington
5. Wayland
6. Westford
7. Newton
8. Wellesley
9. Manchester Essex
10. Harvard
