Easton's Bear Mathers Remembered at Poker Run Over the Weekend

Easton resident Bear Mathers was remembered over the weekend with a bike run benefit at Buddy’s Union Villa.

The event featured a rolling motorcycle rally, in memory of Mather’s love of bikes, and also a unique poker experience. Participants were “dealt” cards by going to different locations along a route. The best hand won the “pot” from the proceeds of the purchase of card hands. A general cookout followed the event.

The event was in remembrance of Mathers, who was killed on April 8 this year in an accident in Raynham while driving his motorcycle. Mathers was 57, and left his beloved wife, Brenda, and their three children – Richard III, Melissa, and Kayla. Bill and Brenda also had six grandchildren.
