Foundry Street Detours To Resume In Easton On Monday

Detours will resume on Monday as part of the Five Corners Sewer Project.

MANSFIELD, MA — The Foundry Street detour is scheduled to be reactivated on Monday as paving work is performed in connection to the Five Corners Sewer Project.

Roadway reconstruction and permanent paving operations will be begin on Foundry Street near the Five Corners intersection and proceed to Robert Drive. Paving work will include both branches of South Street, as well as Poquanticut Avenue.

The detours are expected to last for several weeks while paving work is being performed.

Westbound traffic will be maintained on Foundry Street between the Five Corners intersection and Robert Drive. During working hours, westbound traffic on Foundry Street will be shifted around the work zones as necessary.

Minor delays are to be expected. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and use caution
when traveling through the work zone. Eastbound traffic will be detoured down Highland Street.

Permanent paving of Bay Road, Depot Street, and the portion of Foundry Street east of Bay Road, along with the final surface course of paving on all roads impacted by the project is tentatively scheduled to take place in September/October.

Construction activities will be ongoing at the pump station site located at 564 Foundry Street.
