Fourth Annual Winter Carnival Raises Over $5K for Child Enrichment
The MOMs Club of Easton raffled off more than $4,000 in gift cards, and offered rock climbing, a petting zoo, bouncy houses and more.
The MOMs Club of Easton raised more than $5,000 during their fourth annual Winter Carnival on Saturday, Jan. 24.
More than 125 families came to the event at Maplewood Country Day Camp.
Frozen’s Olaf and Elsa made special character appearances.

Activities included rock climbing, a petting zoo, potato sack races, bouncey houses, gymnastics and a balloonist. Free pizza, beverages and snacks were available and Baltazar Entertainment provided the music.

The Winter Carnival had a great turnout and doubled its admission from previous years.
“It just goes to show how much the families in our community care about supporting the enrichment of our children and it’s fabulous to be part of a community that cares and gives back,” said Natalie Mandeville, President of the MOMS Club of Easton.
A group of 10 high schoolers from the Oliver Ames National Honor Society volunteered at the event.
A portion of the $5,000 proceeds raised at the event will go to funding the children’s program at Ames Free Library.
“It is inspirational to see how this group of hardworking moms has created an exciting Winter Carnival day for families,” said Uma Hiremath, Executive Director of the Ames Free Library, in a press release. “At the same time they have ensured the library is able to offer high- quality programming in the coming months from the proceeds of the Carnival. A win-win situation for all – that is what the Easton community is all about!”
The event’s corporate sponsors included: Home Town Auto Shoppe, Healthy Smiles Dental, Silko Honda, Meredith Keach, Fitzpatrick Brothers, Creative World, Anita Mandell, Custom Metalcraft, R and D Bulldogs, Wash ‘n’ Depot, The Training Fix and New York Life.
