Funding Approved at Special Town Meeting

Over 100 residents turned out for a Special Town Meeting in Easton on Monday, Nov. 4, where they approved ten articles allowing the town to spend money on various areas. 

Some of the changes that will be brought about by the articles include changing supervision of the Human Resources Board from the Town Moderator to the Board of Selectmen, which will now appoint the three board members. 

Funds for a new roof and boiler replacements at the Moreau Hall Elementary School, costing $1.5 million, half of which will be paid by the state. Additional funds for special education were also approved.
