Matt Brown Graduates Stonehill College After Paralyzing Injury in 2010

Congratulations to Matt Brown! He graduated from Stonehill College this weekend—six years after he was paralyzed in a hockey game.

EASTON, MA — Matt Brown, the Norwood High School hockey player paralyzed in 2010, graduated from Stonehill College this weekend.

Brown was one of 632 students who received degrees Sunday.

Brown's class helped raise over $58,000 for a scholarship in his name. The Class of 1966 will also help raise money for the scholarship, school officials said.

On Jan. 23, 2010, Brown was seriously injured in a varsity hockey game, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down.

His motto now? "Never quit."
