Naval Officer From Easton Dies While Deployed in Germany
Petty Officer 1st Class Richard Charles Tucker II passed away on Oct. 26.

An Easton resident who was a naval officer has died while on deployment in Germany.
Petty Officer 1st Class Richard Charles Tucker II, 38, passed away on Oct. 26 according to WCVB. Details of the death were unavailable as of Tuesday with a naval spokesman stating that he could not share the details of Tucker’s death.
According to his obituary, he was raised and educated in Easton and was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School.

A member of the U.S. Navy for 19 years, Tucker served the last 15 years with the Seabees.
He is survived by his parents, two children, two brothers, two sisters, four nephews, and a niece.

The family will hold a wake to celebrate his life on Friday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Hanover. Burial with military honors will follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
